For the past 17-years it has been my distinct pleasure to
welcome guests to our major signature event- the annual banquet. I must confess that I thoroughly enjoy the festive atmosphere and the amazing demonstration of support. More importantly I love sharing the pulse of a proud and accomplished organization.
This year’s theme “Echoes of Success” aptly described
the on-going and determined progress of the HCCW
and that of our Hispanic business community. We continue
to hear, to see and to feel the positive reverberations
of our upward mobility. The positive and healthy influence
of Hispanic commerce on both local and national
levels is more apparent now than ever before.
The HCCW started its journey in 1972 and since that
time its cornerstone has been contributions to the development
and progress of the Hispanic community. Our
growing purchasing power, our increasing small business
ownership and corporate advancement are all examples of
how we are continuing to shape this city and state. We
gratefully acknowledge government, small business and
corporate sectors for taking this journey with us.
Championing and celebrating the important work of the
HCCW is a tremendous endorsement of what we have
realized and fuels our determination to continue our
positive presence as an anchor in the community.
We are profoundly grateful that 1,016 members of our
extended familia joined us on Saturday-January 20th
and added their voices to those “Echoes of Success.”
Adelante Juntos,

Maria Monreal-Cameron
