    HCCW Newsletter - June 2005 Print E-mail
    01 Jun 2005
The HCCW Education Fund/Philip Arreola Scholarship Program has grown considerably since its 1993 beginning. The objective and mission however, have remained steadfast– empowering Hispanic youth through higher education.

Investing in our future leaders, the June 2005 award cycle represents a total of $346,740 awarded under the auspices of our higher-learning initiative. Since 1993, 29-$10k, 2-$4k, 1-$1,500 and 29-$1k scholarships along with $18,240 in partial scholarships have been awarded.

We share our pride in this tremendous accomplishment with numerous individual benefactors, corporate entities, small business owners and to all those who attend our four annual fund raising events. This type of support has enabled the HCCW to forge ahead with vigor and resolve.

The HCCW congratulates the 2005 scholarship recipients who were selected from an outstanding field of seventy-five worthy applicants. Their commitment to scholastic excellence, community involvement and their strong determination to succeed are certainly praiseworthy!

The HCCW envisions a community, a country and a world that will be, in ways great and small, transformed by a new generation of educated Hispanics. Adelante!
