A major snowstorm did not keep a jubilant crowd of approximately 900 from joining us the evening of January 22nd to celebrate Hispanic business success and community progress at the HCCW 15th annual banquet. The grand demonstration of support, despite the elements, was truly amazing and deeply appreciated.
The banquet hall was resplendent with enterprising and determined business owners, professionals, young students, community leaders and residents. The crowd reflected the true face of Milwaukeeâs Hispanic community.
This yearâs theme â2005âŠA YEAR OF CELEBRATIONâ mirrored our determined efforts becoming reality.
July â05 is the projected completion date for our new headquarters, a permanent anchor in the community. The new headquarters promises to better equip us in supporting Hispanic businesses for decades ahead. The HCCW has a long and proud history of effectively assisting Hispanics in realizing their full potential in the business world, promoting their stability, economic growth and development. Business is the Business of the HCCW. In our new space, we will also continue to play an important role in the employment and educational needs of community.
In addition, we have set the stage to welcome thousands of visitors from across the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico who will be visiting Milwaukee-site of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention & Business Expo scheduled for September 14-17th.
2005 will be cause for celebration!
The HCCW has worked diligently and is proud of its reputation as a determined leader, relentless advocate and respected voice of Wisconsinâs growing Hispanic population. Against all odds the HCCW remains steadfast in raising positive awareness, advancing a network for legitimate community issues and pursuing economic and development opportunities.
Your on-going support is a tremendous endorsement of what we have realized and fuels our determination to continue our positive presence in the community. Together there has been no stopping us as the HCCW leads the way!
The HCCW envisions a community, a country and a world that will be, in ways great and small, transformed by a new generation of Hispanics from all realms.
On behalf of a dedicated HCCW Board of Directors and HCCW staff I extend a profound gracias to those who ventured out in the aftermath of a major snowstorm and to those who held us in their positive thoughts.
