    HCCW Newsletter - July 2004 Print E-mail
    01 Jul 2004
June 2004 proved to be an unusually exhausting but most assuredly, the most rewarding month of my 15-year tenure as your President & CEO.

Not only did we award $ 32,000 in scholarships, bringing our grand total to $314,750 awarded to date, hosted our annual Fiesta Tailgate at our new and fabulous location-Helfaer Field but also made history!

Breaking ground for our new headquarters was truly a historic occasion. Once again, your HCCW has risen to the challenge. We have made a firm commitment to securing our presence as a permanent anchor in Milwaukee’s Hispanic community through the construction of our new headquarters. The soon-to-be new center for business and economic development will better serve the needs of small business owners and community for decades ahead.

As we embark on this formidable yet exciting journey together and proceed to build our $2 million dollar facility, we realize that the road will be hard and challenging but our commitment and determination are second to none. Together there will be no stopping us as Milwaukee and Wisconsin sits back and watches the HCCW lead the way.

Although we have almost reached the halfway mark in our capital campaign appeal we need to accelerate our fund raising momentum. PLEASE if you have not invested in our future I respectfully urge you to make a contribution. Investments have ranged from the spectacular We Energies, through the Wisconsin Energy Corporation Foundation, donation of $500,000 to $25. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all 515 HCCW members and other newsletter recipients recorded a donation?!

Check the “Capital Campaign Gauge” monthly to view the impact of your donation.

    Adelante Juntos,
    Maria
