Although business is the business of the HCCW, we have placed a high priority on education. Financially assisting our undergraduate students is a positive step in ensuring that our community continues its positive transformation.

Our college-educated youth are the most decisive hope for the future and we all have a stake in their academic success. We all have a responsibility to motivate our younger generation to seize the torch, hold it higher and run farther than those of preceding generations. We must continue to invest in their potential, their aspirations and their upward mobility.

This award cycle represents a total of $314,750 awarded under the auspices of our higher-learning initiative. Since 1993, 27/$10k; 25/$1k; and 2/$4k in full scholarships along with $11,750 in partial scholarships have been awarded. Our pride in this tremendous accomplishment would not be realized were it not for HCCW special events, numerous individual benefactors, corporate entities and small business owners who have generously provided the necessary resources to forge ahead with vigor and resolve. The HCCW congratulates this year's scholarship recipients who were selected from the outstanding field of worth applicants. We applaud their commitment to scholastic excellence and community involvement and more importantly their determination to succeed. The HCCW envisions a community, a country, and a world that will be, in ways great and small, transformed by a new generation of educated Hispanics.
