We are busy planning and orchestrating two back-to-back annual fundraisers!
The HCCW is proud to continue its tradition of celebrating accomplished Hispanic women and addressing issues relevant to our
upward mobility. The SALUTE TO HISPANIC WOMEN CONFERENCE & LUNCHEON is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.
The 9am morning conference provides a supportive setting for women to interact with peers, hear meaningful presentations designed
to stimulate candid discussion and offers valuable resources. This year’s theme "Mental Illness: The Unspoken Reality" will feature
expert panelists addressing: Mental Disorders Affecting the Latino Community, Identifying the Signs in Adults & Adolescents,
Overcoming Denial & Stigma and Treatment & Resources. Conference sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish.
The luncheon will feature a celebrated keynote speaker currently pending confirmation.
A popular event with Wisconsin’s Hispanic women, the Salute outreaches to our younger Hispanics, elected officials, small business
and corporate sectors along with the general public. Experience Latina up-ward mobility!
Excitement is BREWing for Saturday - June 27th as the HCCW hosts its annual FIESTA TAILGATE at spectacular Miller Park.
Once again the HCCW Fiesta Tailgate will be held in conjunction with the Milwaukee Brewers “Cerveceros (Brewers) Day” - A
tribute to Hispanic Baseball. Commencing at 3 pm at Helfaer Field, this very unique tailgate outing is set in a fiesta atmosphere!
Last year, 1200 baseball aficionados feasted on authentic Mexican food; quenched thirsts with Miller and/or Pepsi-Cola products;
enjoyed live entertainment; applauded the featured appearance of Hispanic Brewer players; and experienced mucho, mucho mas!
This year, the Brewer vs San Francisco Giants game promises to be a complete on-field Hispanic event! Our Brewers in their
“Cerveceros” jerseys and the Giants sporting their “Gigantes” jerseys! Join us s to cheer our Milwaukee “Cerveceors” to victory over
the San Francisco “Gigantes!”
Net proceeds of HCCW fundraising efforts benefit HCCW programs in particular, the HCCW Education Fund/Philip Arreola Scholarship
Program (est. 1993). The HCCW has placed a high priority on financially assisting our undergraduate Hispanic students and
to date, has awarded a total $438,240 in significant scholarships. We know that our fund raising efforts and the generosity of major
supporters touch the futures of the Hispanic recipients in a very meaningful way.
To assure the success of these up-coming fundraisers we need YOUR participation. Please calendar-in these two (2) fund-raisers into
your schedules. A profound gracias for your interest and anticipated support!
