A dedicated HCCW Board of Directors and a hardworking staff and Salute Committee joined me in extending a warm bienvenida to 400 guests who attended our annual Salute to Hispanic Women Conference & Luncheon on Saturday-May 11th.
This year’s theme “Building Your Wealth…Construyendo Su Fortuna” covered various aspects of financial education, proper planning and retirement trends presented by our expert English and Spanish session panelists. In addition, we were thrilled to feature renowned Latina financial expert, Julie Stav as our luncheon key note speaker. Her compelling message of personal financial independence was a perfect fit for this year’s conference theme of building wealth.
As in years past, the Salute audience was radiant with numerous accomplished women:
- Phenomenal women who have risen above barriers and triumphed over struggles and obstacles;
- Exceptional women who through their own merits have earned positions of influence and authority;
- Amazing women who freely share strengths and talents; channel knowledge, sensitivity and energies to better promote gender and ethnic upward mobility;
- Influential women that when taking a step forward on their journey recognize the importance of taking another woman with them;
- Unique women who have realized their full potential by daring to release culturally embedded norms;
- Determined women who leave footprints for others to follow;
- Remarkable women who carry responsibilities that often times would crush a many men.
- Powerful Women who are risk-takers, barrier-breakers & change-makers!
The HCCW takes particular pride in this annual event that salutes Latina contributions to our community along with their passion
for excellence and commitment to success. Their footprints and influence are vital to our continued upward mobility. The future is
bright, the path is clear and the opportunities are at hand. This is our time!
