WHY SHOULD I MAINTAIN MY HCCW MEMBERSHIP?
Although the answer seems obvious, it may not be as basic as you think.
Don’t underestimate the value of your membership! The steady
increase in the number of ethnic businesses makes it vitally important
to establish an alliance with the organization that is dedicated to
advancing and promoting business development through education,
advocacy and networking.
THE HCCW IS A SOURCE OF INFORMATION AND EDUCATION...
The HCCW provides informational and educational programs
on all aspects of starting and growing a small business.Monthly membership
meetings are tailored to include speakers covering topics of
business interest. The meetings also provide an opportunity for business
and social networking with peers, educators, governmental and
civic leaders. The monthly newsletter includes informational articles
on business and career advancement and social activities.
HCCW MEMBERSHIP LEADS TO BUSINESS DEALS... Businesses
need other businesses to survive. One of the most valuable aspects of
your membership is being in the loop. Knowing who’s who in the
local business community helps members develop business leads that
may not otherwise be encountered. The HCCW membership directory
is distributed to procurement divisions of government agencies,
corporations and other businesses eager to do business with our
members. The HCCW receives bids/specs on major construction
projects. Bids/specs are maintained on-site and are accessible on our
website www.hccw.org. The HCCW strongly advocates the upward
mobility of Hispanic and other small businesses. Goods and services
provided by members are regularly recommended to outside parties.
THE HCCW PROVIDES A UNITED FRONT... We all know there is
strength in numbers. A strong membership base adds influence and
credibility when addressing issues and concerns impacting our business
community and community at large. We are sought out as a
respected voice in matters pertaining to political issues and community
concerns. Currently the HCCW is represented on 13 influential
Boards along with representation on numerous committees and councils,
supporting measures that benefit the membership and the community
at large. These are just a few reasons why membership should
be retained.
Membership invoices will be mailed during the latter part of
November. Keep in mind that your valued membership not only has
a direct impact on keeping operating costs consistent in the yearly
operating budget but also serves to strengthen our position and maximize
our voice in the small business arena. Your reaffirmation of support
is earnestly solicited and deeply appreciated.
